BMW Ultimate Driving Experience Teams up with Turner Motorsports
The Turner Motorsport BMW M6 GTD Number 96 racing car gained an addition for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar championship races at Road America and Virginia International Raceway, as the BMW NA customer racing team has partnered with BMW of North America to race in support of the BMW Ultimate Driving Experience.
Bret Curtis and Justin Marks have co-driven the vehicle with BMW Motorsports driver Jens Klingmann this year; Marks and Klingmann teamed to share a third place finish at Shalen’s Six Hours of the Glen in July, a season-best result. Former BMW Junior driver Jesse Krohn will drive with Klingmann at Road America and Virginia International Raceway.
The BMW Ultimate Driving Experience offers an opportunity to enjoy behind-the-wheel experiences in a variety of BMW vehicles that range from BMW iPerformance to BMW M and M Performance models. There are four events remaining in the series, with these stops still to come:
- San Francisco, August 11-17
- Dallas, September 2-10
- Chicago, October 14-22
- New York, November 2-12
In a press release, Trudy Hardy, Vice President of Marketing, BMW of North America, stated, “The Ultimate Driving Experience gives drivers from across the country the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a BMW and experience firsthand why our brand is at the top of its class. Further, drivers participating in the teen driving school, autocross or M control clinic will develop their own skills, gaining experience and confidence while learning under the guidance of our BMW Performance Center instructors.”
