BMW Unveils the First-Ever BMW M3 CS

December 20th, 2017 by

In November, BMW introduced the world to its special edition M3 CS, a vehicle that perfectly balances performance and practicality. The M3 CS is much lighter than the standard M3 thanks to the use of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic, and it features a lower center of gravity that makes it even more fun to drive.

The 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine manufactures 453 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, and is capable of delivering a 0-60 mph time of just 3.7 seconds. In fact, this engine is so powerful that it's been electronically limited to a top speed of 174 mph (always obey posted speed limits).

The standard Adaptive M Suspension offers drivers a choice of Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes that include different damper settings that are idealized for each mode. The electromechanical steering also has three settings that can be chosen by the mere touch of a button.

The chassis features Active M Differential, which only serves to enhance the vehicle's phenomenal traction and stability. A control unit connects with the Dynamic Stability Control system to track certain mechanical aspects and adapt to the changing driving scenarios, ensuring that maximum torque is delivered to the rear wheels.

U.S. customers may order the M3 CS starting in May 2018, with only 1,200 models produced for distribution around the world.

At BMW of Tulsa, we're proud to help BMW drivers from the Tulsa, Muskogee, Broken Arrow and Owasso, OK, areas.
