Auto Air Conditioner Service in the Tulsa Area

Car air conditioning system troubles can appear out of nowhere. And with nearly limitless choices for auto air conditioner service, locating the best service center can be tough. If you desire not to overheat behind the wheel of your car, we have your back with some tips, especially in case you ever need to search for vehicle AC repair services.

What’s the Best Place to Go For Automotive A/C Service?

Like most automobile repair services, you primarily have three options when it concerns your automotive air conditioner service: Do-It-Yourself, an independent repair shop, or an auto dealer. Is one far better than the rest? Let’s explore each alternative and find out.

DIY A/C Repair

DIY freon recharge sets are plentiful. Unfortunately, they only deal with one particular issue, however, and may miss the real issue. Replacing lost freon might offer you short-lived relief but subjects the atmosphere to dangerous chemicals when the system loses freon once again. This alternative is the riskiest as a lot of us aren’t certified air conditioning repair professionals. You run the risk of throwing away cash on an inefficient ‘solution’ and harming the environment.

Independent A/C Repair Shop

Independent repair shops are a step up from DIY as they have the understanding and (probably) the tools needed for a successful car air conditioning repair. While the service technicians will have a far better opportunity of efficiently diagnosing the issue with your vehicle’s AC, they may not have all the specific tools needed to successfully repair it. Independent repair shops are created to service various brands of vehicles, not always your vehicle specifically.

AC Service at a Dealership

Your local dealership is absolutely your finest choice when repairing anything on your car and that includes having your car air conditioner fixed. The dealership professionals are especially trained on your vehicle and have access to any type of customized tools and manufacturer replacement components that may be required to effectively fix your automobile’s air conditioning trouble.

All 3 options have their merits when it involves fixing your vehicle’s cooling, however here at BMW of Tulsa, we have the right devices to properly detect your trouble and fix it correctly.

How Much is an Air Conditioner Diagnostic?

The initial component of fixing your car’s A/C is recognizing what’s broken. This means beyond discovering that the car or truck’s A/C unit does not blow cold anymore. The cost of an A/C diagnostic can differ greatly depending upon how in-depth analysis examination is. Some places like the automobile parts store or independent repair shops might just have the ability to check for freon leaks while we have the specialized equipment essential to appropriately repair your car’s A/C problem. We recognize that one size doesn’t fit all and we will certainly tailor our vehicle air conditioner service for your specific demands. Be sure to call us for a customized quote on your automobile.

What Causes Car Air Conditioner Systems to Quit Working?

Inevitably your automobile’s air conditioning system quit working due to a leak or a part failing, it likely will rarely need a ‘recharge’. Cooling units are cooled by freon, a chemical that can be harmful to the environment. So, while you may be most worried about your comfort, a damaged car A/C system may be unsafe to the atmosphere and must be inspected right away.

Had oil change and front end alignment on 2000 BMW Z3. They didn’t put a sticker on windshield as a reminder of next service. Couldn’t re-set the SRS ( seat belt restraint) light because no one knew how. Basically they implied the car was too old for most of the techs to be able to diagnose any problems
